7 day old Sweet A

Seriously, how cute is this little gal. She was such a dream to photograph as well, just curled right up and she was out. It's not a surprise that she's beautiful, you should see her parents!

And she even gave us a little smile...

An adorable little girl and her big brothers

Meet the H family. This was such a fun session. I always feel so honored to be asked to photograph newborns. It's such a fleeting time, they change daily and the window to capture just how tiny and flexible they are is short. This little sweetie did it perfectly though.

And I always love these images. Not only are there 3 generations represented but I can picture her someday saying "how did I fit up there?" It just shows how little they really are.

And lastly, these are little I's big brothers. Are those the sweetest faces! They are so good with their little sister.

Maternity at Sunset

I felt honored to photograph this beautiful mom is who is expecting her third in June and even more honored to call her my friend. She has two adorable girls already and unlike me, the gender of this little one due in June is unknown (I could never wait to find out!). They are amazing parents and I'm so looking forward to taking some of this little guy or gals photos next month.

Oh, and for those who have heard the term "sweet light" and wondered what it was...well this is it.

Meet Little T

This little cutie is just a week old. For being so little, he was so strong! He'd stretch those legs out and no one was going to move them. He was so good though and so sweet, and had the most beautiful skin.

It's always so fun to visit with new parents and little T's parents (and grandma) were absolutely delightful. Those first few weeks after bringing a baby home is such a magical time and it's so much fun for me to get to share in a little part of it.

Meet 2 yr old little G, he had to be the sweetest thing and look at those beautiful eyes!! Little G was one of the most agreeable 2 year olds I've ever met (with wonderful parents too!). One Week Old Twins

Newborn with 1000 expressions

I had the pleasure of photographing this little cutie this morning. For being so tiny, he had the expressions of a 3 month old. For newborns, we typically start out slow since many wake up when you take the blankets off. So we get started, uncover him halfway, go in for a close up and this is what he did...he smiled! and not once but at least 5 times

then "eye contact" which is not an easy thing with a newborn

and at the very end...out like a light

2 week old angel

While this crazy weather might be derailing other sessions, this little guy couldn't care a bit about it snowing at the end of April. He was perfect. I always get a little nervous when newborns get past around 10 days, many decide the world is just too interesting to sleep for pictures but this little one was a complete angel (with a little help from mom). He's got the cutest big brother too with the most gorgeous hair and eyes, well you can see for yourself.

Gorgeous Mom to Be

I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful couple this morning for a maternity session. As you can see, she's not only gorgeous but is absolutely glowing. It was so fun documenting this exciting time for them as they become a family.

It was seriously cold, but they were game so we even got a few outdoor shots in. After a long winter, it was so fun to get back to shooting outside. Hopefully this is the last of this weather and everything will be much greener and warmer when the baby comes!

I love hats. They're so fun in pictures. I'm always on the hunt for unique handmade hats and lucky me, I found a designer that makes the cutest handmade hats and we teamed up together. So I get to take even more pictures of hats and I'll have awesome hats for you to try at sessions!

Baby R

I love photographing newborns. They are only that little and squishy for such a short time. I had the honor to photograph 13 day old Baby R today and meet his wonderful parents. Baby R was so good, I don't think I even heard him cry the whole time I was there. He didn't want to sleep at first but once he did...he was OUT. I picked a few favorites for a sneak peek, your gallery will be ready in about a week! Thanks again!

Just a quick update for scheduling. May and August are booking up fast! If you are looking to schedule a session for either May or August, let me know as soon as you can. With advanced notice, I will always do my best to squeeze in newborns so we can get them in when they are itty bitty even if the schedule looks full.

Embracing Winter

Okay, so I'm really itching to get back outside. I love shooting outside so during this last snow, I snuck out for a few minutes just before the sun went down to try to capture a few of the good parts of winter. The first is the tree in my front yard and the second is the snow on our deck. Happy winter...

Only 6 Days Old

Remember this family from just a few posts down? Well, Little A was born and is absolutely adorable as you can see!! I had so much fun hanging out with their family. Little A was such a trouper and so was her mom, it's so much fun when clients just get it. What's a little mess on the floor?

These two are great friends with my daughter. I've gotten to know them over the last year and they are such special kids. So sweet and full of life! I had to throw one in of their dog and well that last one, who doesn't love a hug...

My Little Guy

You'd think being a photographer that I'd take pictures of my kids all the time. Well, not as often as you'd think. This morning, my little guy was in a really cute mood. It wasn't planned and well ok, so his clothes don't match, but I just loved his expressions so I thought I'd share! He's getting so big. Now to get a few of my daughter...is the snow gone yet?? I can't wait to get back outside!

this last one is just for the parents of toddlers so when I say, "don't worry, my kids play with my light meter all the time" they believe me. What little kid doesn't love buttons!

Becoming 4

This was such a fun session!! This family is not only beautiful but so sweet as well. I honestly couldn't pick just a few to share so some went on the blog and you can check out the website for more. It was so fun to share a small part of this families joy as they turn the page from being a family of 3 to a family of 4. Little T is going to make a great big brother!

If this little guy isn't the gerber baby, I'm not sure who is. I had the pleasure of photographing this little 6 month old a few weeks ago and he was so adorable.
